Liliana Di Marco
Liliana Di Marco alias “Lajoushi” was born in Bogotà, Colombia, from a multiethnic and cosmopolitan family. She moved to Italy when she was sixteen.
Since then, she attended the school of Fashion Designer, tour operator and worked as an Art-Director and stylist in fashion shows and in many photo-shootings in Italy and around the world.
Her first picture was taken with a reflex during a trip to New York in 2007 and since then she started photography on her own until she begin to attend workshops and specialized photography courses.
From the beginning the main subject of her photography was herself, from her self-portraits to being a model for other artist. Her style is a reflection of her creole heritage where you can see the mixture and the merge of opposing cultures to give light to a precious and sensual femininity.
One of her most personal and representative project is “Wabisabi Geisha”, which is a new vision of the Geisha described as “imperfect beauty, impermanent and incomplete” mixing and exploring the Japanese ethereal, elegant and perfect esthetics, interpreted by western women, imperfect and sensual.
Beside photography, she’s always in search of stimulants and creative paths, she loves art, poetry and design.
Liliana is represented by the agency Art + Commerce PhotoVogue Collection.
