Mabel Montes was born the 4th of July of 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 2008 she got her University degree in Visual Arts in the National Universitary Institute of Art. Her painting professor in that period is the artist Domingo Florio.
In 2009 she is chosen by the artist Nicolás Menza who grants her a scholarship to expand her knowledge in his private studio. During 2012 she explores and digs deeply into her plastic identity together with the painter Ariel Mlynarzewicz.
From the year 2007 Mabel Montes presents her work in different contest resulting the winner of “New Art Airs – Emerging Artists” of the Buenos Aires City Bank (2012).
Between the exhibitions she was part of we can highlight: “GrupoVAN. Convergence” in the Faculty of Law of the Buenos Aires University (2014), “Inner Gestures”, individual display in the Social Museum University of Argentina (2013), “Expo COR” in the Borges Cultural Center (2013), “Mixtures” in the Recoleta Cultural Center (2013), between others.
